Portfolio for a Programmer

Developed interactive frontend for a clients’ portfolios using ReactJS and JavaScript, CSS, Tailwind CSS.

Computerized Adaptive Testing

I built this project for my client who is building a recruitment website. The algorithm used predicts the next question administered to the examinee based on the examinee’s previous ability to answer prior questions, hence it is adaptive. It uses Item Response Theory and I used Catsim Library for the IRT.

I worked on this project with the team at Altonium. It is an online casino where users can register, play games and bet online. In this project I participated in the design and development of the front-end. We leveraged some of the best features of NextJS like SEO optimization and static rendering.

Fruit Sorting Model

In this project I explore the field of computer vision. I applied transfer learning to a fruit sorting problem based on image classification. I compared various architectures pretrained on Imagenet and provided a detailed comparison on the architectures (Resnet50, VGG16, and MobilenetV3-small. I published a paper in the 2022 ICISS Conference based on this research.

CNN Model From Scratch

This project was a challenge I took upon deciding to venture into computer vision. My supervisor advised me to write my own library like keras so that I could understand the obscure mechanisms of the Keras Library better when I use it to solve other problems. This is far from perfect but I managed to make it work on the Mnist Dataset.

Extractive Text Summarization

I co-authored a paper whose goal is to determine which algorithm performs better as compared to human generated extractive summaries on news dataset. The same dataset was used for both these algorithms and the summaries were evaluated using ROUGE Score. The result showed that TextRank yielded a better ROUGE score as compared to BERT. TextRank showed higher F-measure and recall while BERT had higher precision.

Mental Health First

This app was my first introduction to the ReactJS framework. I was curious about the Framework and wanted to try it out. I developed a forum based application to simulate online forums which discuss issues of mental health. For the backend I used Java Springboot.

Pacman Clone

I used to love playing Pacman as a child so when I first learned game development, it was only natural to want to replicate it. I developed this game in my first semester of learning programming and I fell in love with it.
